We do have restrictions at the clinic. Our belief is that spay/neuter is an elective procedure and may not be beneficial for all pets, therefore we will decline pets who are not good surgical candidates. Those pets 7 years and older are at a much higher risk during surgery so the S/Nipped team asks that you contact your local veterinarian for those geriatric surgical clients, exceptions maybe made on a case by case basis with prior blood work only.

Please visit the appointments page for more information on scheduling an appointment and "need to know" information about pre-operative and post-operative care.

Our first program

Spay/Neuter: Join The National Movement from Humane Alliance on Vimeo.

S/Nipped's High Quality, High Volume,

Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic

S/Nipped was formed in February of 2010 to promote a United Coalition among Coos, Curry, and Douglas county rescues, non profit organizations, individuals and government entities. Our mission was to open a Regional High Quality, High Volume, Low Cost Spay and Neuter clinic in Coos Bay Oregon by replicating a highly successful business model developed by Ashville, North Carolina's Humane Alliance. More than sixty-five clinics in 27 states are now open and operating using the Humane Alliance model. Our clinic opened the doors for surgeries on Feburary 15, 2011.

Our second program

S/Nipped's Trap, Neuter and Return Program for Ferals and Strays

S/Nipped seeks to establish a partnership with Oregon Communities to develop a lasting and sustainable long-term solution to effectively manage and care for our stray and feral cat population.
